Terms of Service

Effective date: April 7, 2026

1. Service Description

Skeemrr is an e-invoice validation service operated by SkeeterLab. The service validates XML invoice payloads against Schematron business rules for various international e-invoicing standards. Validation results are informational and do not constitute legal, tax, or compliance advice.

2. Geographic Availability

Skeemrr is currently offered to users in the United States only. By using skeemrr, you represent that you are located in the United States.

3. Account Terms

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must not share API keys or allow unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit malicious payloads designed to exploit the validation engine
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
  • Use automated tools to excessively burden the service

5. Data Handling

XML payloads submitted for validation are processed in memory and are not stored. Validation metadata (format, result, timestamp) is stored for analytics purposes with a 90-day retention period. Your email address is stored for authentication. No data is sold to or shared with third parties.

6. API Keys

API keys are provided for programmatic access. Keys are hashed before storage and shown only once at creation. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. SkeeterLab may revoke keys that are found to be compromised or used in violation of these terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SkeeterLab does not guarantee that validation results are complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. The service validates against published Schematron business rules but does not replace official validation by tax authorities (e.g., the Italian Sistema di Interscambio).

8. Limitation of Liability

SkeeterLab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to rejected invoices, tax penalties, or business losses resulting from reliance on validation results.

9. Changes to Terms

SkeeterLab may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
