What We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we store your email address via AWS Cognito for authentication purposes. Your email is not linked to validation data and is not shared with third parties.

Validation Data

XML payloads submitted for validation are processed in memory only and are never stored, logged, or persisted. We do not retain the content of your invoices.

Validation metadata (format detected, pass/fail result, error count, rule IDs triggered, timestamp) is stored in our database for analytics purposes. This data is retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. It is not linked to your account for analytics purposes — the public analytics page shows only anonymized aggregates.

API Keys

API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes. The raw key is shown once at creation and is never stored or retrievable by SkeeterLab.

Analytics

We use the following analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns:

  • Google Analytics 4 — page views and sessions. Configured with IP anonymization. Does not use cookies for cross-site tracking.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — traffic overview. Cookieless by design.
  • Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps. Used to improve the user interface. No personally identifiable information is collected.

No advertising trackers are present on skeemrr.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is processed only by AWS services (Cognito, DynamoDB, Lambda, SES, CloudFront).

Data Retention

  • Account data (email): Retained until you delete your account
  • Validation metadata: 90-day automatic deletion (DynamoDB TTL)
  • API keys: Retained until revoked
  • Invoice content: Never stored
